About Modo Guide
Modo Guide is an independent site covering the Modo sweepstakes app for players in
the United States. We are not the operator, we are funded by affiliate commission, and this
page explains exactly what both of those mean.
What we publish
Eight guides, each covering one thing: installing the app, the bonus schedule, the game
library, how free play and the two-currency system work, running it in a browser, signing in,
and prize redemption. The aim is that a reader finishes a page knowing the mechanics well
enough to make their own decision, including the decision not to sign up.
Where a figure depends on the operator's own terms — minimums, expiry windows, excluded
states — we say so rather than inventing a number. Where we describe what is typical across
the category, we label it as typical. This is less satisfying than a confident specific, and
it is the only honest way to write about terms that the operator can change without telling us.
How this site is funded
Through affiliate commission. Links marked as sponsored pay us if a reader signs up through
them, at no cost to the reader and with no effect on the terms they get. That is the entire
business model — there is no paid placement, no sponsored review, and no arrangement where an
operator sees a page before it is published.
The obvious question is whether commission shapes what we write. The honest answer is that it
creates a pull, and the way we handle it is structural: sponsored links are visually separated
from the guidance, every one of them is marked rel="sponsored", the disclosure
sits beside the first call to action rather than buried in the footer, and the guides
deliberately include the parts of the model that discourage sign-ups — the slow free routes,
the state exclusions, the verification friction, the realistic view of what redemption is
worth. A page that only sold would be a worse page and, in the long run, a worse business.
What we are not
We are not Modo and we are not affiliated with its operator as a company. We hold no
accounts, store no passwords, process no balances and pay no prizes. No page on this site
contains a login, password, account-number or payment field — not a working one and not a
decorative one. If you ever land on a page that appears to be this site and asks for any of
that, it is not this site.
We are also not a legal, financial or tax adviser, and nothing here is advice in any of those
senses. Sweepstakes eligibility and tax treatment depend on your circumstances and your state.
